I did a thing not that long ago, where I browsed all the interesting genres on NetGalley. Apparently I felt the need to prove to myself how little selfcontrol I can muster up when feeling like a.. wreck? I have no clue. But, because of that day, I now have some NetGalley wins with you all to share – I guess that’s a win?
Let’s see what books I got! [warning: it’s a bunch..]
As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page, so feel free to check them out!

PUBLISHER: Quercus Books
GENRE: Paranormal romance

REPS: LGBTQIA!
SYNOPSIS
Angela likes Chloe. Chloe likes Angela. It should be simple enough – there’s just the small matter of Angela’s aversion to sunlight. And crosses. And mirrors . . .
In 1998, Angela was a smart, gothy astronomy student - until her then-girlfriend accidentally turned her into a vampire. A year later, she divides her time between her post-graduate degree (working on it in a dark, basement room, and only at night) and controlling her need for human blood.
Then she meets lonely but wryly humorous slush-pile reader Chloe, who’s battling demons of her own. Chloe’s anxiety and depression can make it hard for her to leave the house, while memories of her ex haunt her at night.
As sparks fly and romance blooms, Angela and Chloe struggle to hide their difficulties from each other – but sometimes the only way out is to let someone else in.

SYNOPSIS
Girls are forbidden to practice story magic. Only bad things happen when they do. Everyone knows this, but that doesn’t stop twelve-year-old Kaya A’Dor from learning the basics from her older brother Hob. The trick is to sense a listener, one of the magical beings that inhabit the world, and tell it a story. If the listener is pleased and likes the story, it will allow the storyteller to work magic.
Although Kaya knows the risks, she attempts a little story magic to impress Hob. When Hob is taken prisoner in Prima, the faraway capital city, Kaya is convinced it’s her fault, either because someone discovered what she was doing or because the bad luck has found her.
Desperate to save her brother, Kaya will do anything to make it to Prima, including story magic. With each story she tells her ability to wield story magic grows and she soon begins to wonder if her brother’s imprisonment was really her fault or something else entirely. Each story brings her one step closer to finding Hob and leaving everything she’s ever known behind.

I was.. definitely intrigued by the “vampires” and “queer” in Love Bites. Pretty sure I don’t to give more explanation on that one, haha!
Feathertide had me at mermaids. Like. Can you see what happened here? Certain words enable me and these two books definitely each had one or more of those words..
Last but not least, I got intrigued by Story Magic – which is a middle grade! I want to dabble into that “age range” a bit more, so.. I think that one would be a good start? I hope.
Love Bites is 100000% my kind of book. And as a bonus, it releases right before my birthday. Haha. You did score some great books. 🙂

Oooh that’s awesome! I was going to start it yesterday, but then got wary of it with a GR-review saying “f/f written by a male author?” and now I’m like.. “uhow..” :’)
