[Monstrous] MARCH TBR

March

I’m.. not exactly back but I couldn’t resist setting up a TBR! Even though I barely have time now that the little one made his grand entrance on February 16th.. I’m simply so used to having some kind of TBR that I just had to post one, you know? So here it is! And since my monthly challenge is about monstrous reads.. well..

[This is a short post as I don’t have a lot of time right now, but you can be certain I’ll be posting about Jamie’s arrival soon-ish. I can’t wait to share my experiences so far – even more so since I know some of you are curious! Not to mention I simply need somewhere to vent and share and possibly overshare, haha.]

MONSTROUS BOOKS I REALLY WANT TO READ

When The Tik-Tik SingsCity of Ghosts (Cassidy Blake, #1)The Dark Descent Of Elizabeth FrankensteinDoctor Sleep (The Shining, #2)

Usually I’d add more books I might pick up but since I’m pretty sure I won’t even be able to read these four.. Let’s not do that, haha. I know City of Ghosts isn’t really “monstrous”, but it’s ghosts and.. well.. I’ve been meaning to read it ever since I got my copy so let’s hope I actually succeed this time around?
Also, here’s my March TBR-shelf on Goodreads for those who want to keep track of my reading throughout the month!

  1. Aw, congrats! And Jamie’s such a great name, too. Can’t wait to hear your story and definitely vent when you need to. Sometimes, you have to get it all out. As far as the oversharing goes… my girls are 17 and 19 now, not sure there is much I haven’t heard at this point. Hahaha.

    1. Thank you! I’m still doubting whether to share the entire labor-story or not so I’ve yet to write that first post. We’ll see what I end up sharing / oversharing, haha.
I can totally imagine that! It’ll be fun to compare things with someone who has two girls. Guess you escaped the pee showers when changing diapers then! 😀 [Which we obviously haven’t..]

    2. This is your space… share what you’re comfortable with. Hahaha.

So true. There are things you deal with with boys and not girls and the other way around. But sadly, I’ve not avoided the pee showers completely as I do have two nephews. Ah, the joys of motherhood no one warns you about. 🙂

    3. We’ll see! Guess it’ll depend on the mood I’m in too since thinking about it sometimes has me in tears still, haha.

Yup, exactly! I do have a nephew on my BF’s side of the family but we haven’t been a big part of his life so far.
Pee showers are.. way too funny. Mostly because they tend to happen to my boyfriend way more often than they happen to me, haha.

    4. Aw, I can understand that!

Hahaha – yeah, they’re always so much funnier when they happen to someone else. 🙂

  2. I’m sitting this challenge out, and I definitely consider ghosts to be monstrous. I loved City of Ghosts, it was such a fun read.

  3. Oooh…I hope you get around to Once & Future. I’m really curious about it because it sounds rather interesting. Also, yay! I look forward to your post/rant/whatever about Jamie.

    1. I’m hoping to read it once I finish my current reads! All in hopes of not being late with a review for the first time since starting my blog – fingers crossed.

I’m trying to get through my backlog of comments before I start that post, but it’s definitely coming!

  4. Congratulations! Hope you’re settling into life as a family of three. Good luck with the reading! The early morning feeds are usually a good time, just depends if you can keep your eyes open haha!

    1. I wish, haha! Those hormones finish me every time. It’s like, the moment I’m like “okay, now he’ll eat until he falls asleep” my brain goes “time to shut down again and sleep!” while sitting up. :’) Safe to say I haven’t gotten a lot of reading in so far. 😛

  5. I really enjoyed Doctor Sleep when I read it, I thought he did a good job continuing the story. Next month I am planning on reading 3 books. The Priory of the Orange Tree, Down Among the Sticks and Bones, and The Last Hours.
