You know it, or you’re about to know it: May is about mood-reading and mood-reading we shall do! Of course, when I first created this challenge it was meant to be a “ignore those ARC’s”-kind of thing and.. it still is? But since I love bending the rules – or plain ignoring them – I’m actually going to focus on my ARC’s!
Why, you wonder? Basically because my NetGalley has exploded and.. I should totally focus on fixing it? Besides, I have a variety of books on there so mood-readig shouldn’t really be a problem. I hope?
THE MOODY ARC OPTIONS
So, here are all the ARC’s I got approved for, some of those approvals even date months and months back. Although, I really want to point out how only The Raven and the Dove was due in March, all others have yet to be released so.. It’s not too bad? I think.. Anyway. Here they are:

Of course, I’m also giving myself a bit of freedom to pick up some of my own books as welL. Which is why I had a hard look at my shelves and decided these are some books I really want to read right now. No clue whether it will happen but.. Who knows?

Books & Munches 
Look at all those pretty ARCs! My eyes are drawn to Wicked as You Wish, Where Dreams Descend, and Red Hood. What’s Feathertide about? The cover is gorgeous though I’ve never heard a thing about it.
Uggghh I look at The Damned and think, Renee Ahdieh! I want that! But The Beautiful let me down so so much. I didn’t enjoy it at all and wanted to DNF halfway through. I only finished the book *because* I love Ahdieh so much. Are you excited for the sequel?

I’m sure there’s only one thing I need to tell you regarding Feathertide and that’s.. MERMAIDS.
I actually loved The Beautiful and The Damned too? I admit when I read The Beautiful I was totally in the mood for some gorgeous writing and didn’t care all that much about plot and.. I think that was the saving grace, so to speak? Because plot-wise there wasn’t a whole lot going on in that one, was there? :’)
The Damned had more things going on for sure and I still enjoyed the writing so maybe you’ll enjoy it better too?

No, haha, the plot wasn’t the strongest. I may give it a re-read once my library opens back up and hopefully that will change my opinions a bit. I know I loved the writing and knowing that The Damned has a stronger plot line is promising!

I’m currently reading Anger is a Gift… I would 100% recommend. I’m not done yet, but it’s such a eye opening and important read! I hope, if you read it, you enjoy it! 🙂
