NEW EARC APPROVALS ~ Sharing my recent NetGalley-wins!

I was going to stop requesting books and.. I did, for the most part. But I recently [like two weeks ago, oops] got approved for one of my MOST anticipated sequels and I just had to share! And since I had another, older request approved as well.. And then the eARC of the streetteam I’m part of arrived in my inbox..
Time to put these books in the spotlight, yes?!

As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page, so feel free to check them out!

Summer Island

TITLE: Summer Island
AUTHOR: Natalie Normann

RELEASED: June 24, 2020
PUBLISHER: HarperCollins UK

GENRE: Fiction, romance

He never meant to stay.
He certainly never meant to fall in love…

Summer Island off the coast of Norway was the place London chef Jack Greene should have been from. He’s an outsider in the community that should have been his family, and now he’s setting foot on the strange land he has inherited for the first time.

The welcome is a mix of distrust and strange gifts of food, especially from enigmatic Ninni Toft, his nearest neighbour, who has arrived for the season to get over a broken heart. Her wild spirit and irrepressible enthusiasm for the quirky locals are a heady brew for city-boy Jack, who is discovering the simple pleasures of island life – and what it means to belong. To a place. To a people. To one person in particular…

Home is where the heart is, but is Jack’s heart with the career he left behind in London, or on the wind-swept shores of Summer Island, with Ninni?

I requested Summer Island knowing full well I always get in this fluffy romance-mood when the weather turns all summer-y so.. I wanted to stock up on a bit of that exact kind of books? The cover looks cute too so I think I’m in for a fun one!

And then the book I was keeping my fingers and toes crossed for.. The Damned by Renée Ahdieh. If you’ve read my review of The Beautiful, you know I really adored it, apart for a thing or two. I’m really looking forward to maybe see more vampires this time around! Also, I should totally read more of her older work.. So far I’ve read Flame in the Mist and The Beautiful – that’s it. Oops.

Last, but definitely not least is the very anticipated ARC of Dusk till Dawn! I’m on the streetteam for this one and I couldn’t be happier about getting to read this book. I loved Tyffany Hackett’s Imber and Tellus so I’m all here for seeing how a story will go when she colaborates with another author.

  1. Ahhh exciting new acquisitions here! 😍 I liked The Beautiful, but I don’t know if I’m curious enough to read the sequel? My favorite of the author is The Wrath and the Dawn series, I’d love for you to read that one 😍 and ahh you have more than maybe on your TBR, I ADORE this book, I hope you will! ❤

    1. I honestly was SO in the mood for atmospheric writing back when I read The Beautiful so that saved the entire book for me? At least that’s how I feel after seeing some less-than-amazing reviews on it, haha. I haven’t read those yet. I.. don’t even own those? Yet? Maybe someday?

  2. Aaaah I want an ARC of The Damned so bad 😭 I had one for More Than Maybe and like it a lot! Definitely going to buy when it comes out. Enjoy!!

    1. I got sooo lucky! I mailed the publisher a while back in hopes of getting a physical ARC, and got a mail they weren’t going to do any but that it was on NG to request. So I immediately went and requested and then sent a mail to say I jumped on the request button. Five minutes later I got approved, haha.
More Than Maybe WAS SO GOOD. Preordered it even!

  3. Nice haul, congrats!

It’s funny… I promise myself I’m not going to request any more ARCs and I do really well and then… well, a peek at Netgalley won’t hurt, will it? And next thing you know, I have ten. Hahaha.

    Have fun with these!

    1. If I could find a way to control this, I’d totally share. I’d pray for some of those pending to be rejected, but that’s just mean. Haha. Good luck?
