READ THE ARC, BOUGHT THE BOOK. ~ Top Ten Tuesday, April 7th

If there’s one thing I pride myself in, it’s supporting the authors of which I read and loved an Advance Reader Copy. It’s easy [and true] to say that we’re already being rewarded for our work [aka reading and reviewing] by having the opportunity to read the books early, but.. Sometimes I feel like supporting their work in other ways is important to authors as well. Which is why I try buying finished copies of the ARC’s I really loved. Try being the keyword. I have a list of finished copies I have yet to buy since money isn’t allowing it right now but I will eventually!

Anyway. What I’m trying to say with all that is.. I’m here to share the finished copies I bought after reading an eARC. [Or ones I have yet to buy but definitely will.] So this week’s topic is “Books I bought because..” and I’m making it.. “ARC’s I read and then decided supporting the author was definitely worth it!”.

The first four books are all fantasy, and I love them all dearly for different reasons. The Beautiful has amazing writing, where Coral is a perfect-fitting puzzle. Feather features angels, which is one of my eternal weaknesses when it comes to fantasy. Sorcery of Thorns? Libraries! And then there’s the fifth, a science fiction book I didn’t expect to cherish as much as I ended up doing. I read ARC’s of all these books. The only one I have yet to buy a finished copy of is Feather and I will. I definitely will.

These five are all contemporary novels and all important for different reasons, for different rep.

Okay, I didn’t buy every single on of them YET, but I’m planning on it. They’re on the ultimate wishlist of which I get to buy books if I behave when it comes to my regular book buying. [Which is going.. pretty well, to be honest?]
