I feel like either people read way more in March than usually or they read significantly less. I’m actually.. happy to find I read about as much as I would’ve in any other month? Don’t know why I’m happy about that but.. me weird.
Okay. Moving on. My March reading wrap-up!
As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page!
The star-ratings link back to my reviews if I’ve posted them or added one on Goodreads!
Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab ~ ★★★★★
The Machines of Theda by C.E. Clayton ~ ★★★★☆
If you know about my monthly challenges, you know why I read these two. Tunnel of Bones spooked me – again. I swear I’m not looking forward to reading “more adult” stuff of Schwab because of that sole reason. And The Machines of Theda counts as a “monstrous-sized” book so, that’s Monstrous March in two books!
OTHER BOOKS ON MY OWNED TBR I READ
Single Dad’s Waitress by Amelia Wilde ~ ★★★☆
Finale by Stephanie Garber ~ ★★★★★
Single Dad’s Waitress is an ebook I read in-between to have something light and fluffy. Then I finally – finally – picked up Finale and BOY, WAS IT AMAZING. Full review to come on Thursday.
ARC’S I READ
Of Curses and Kisses by Sandhya Menon ~ ★★
The Opposite of Falling Apart by Micah Good ~ ★★★★★ [RTC]
I.. am so sorry about Of Curses and Kisses. I wanted to like it, I wanted to love it but.. I didn’t? Read my review to find out more of my thoughts. On the other hand – I absolutely LO-VED The Opposite of Falling Apart. I’m trying to get my thoughts down decently to post a review so be sure to check it out once I have!
SCRIBD-BOOKS I LISTENED TO
Legendary by Stephanie Garber ~ ★★★★★ [reread]
10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston ~ ★★★★☆
I listened to two books this month! One was my reread of Legendary which was.. amazingly done, to be honest? And then there was the fluffy thing that’s 10 Blind Dates. Awfully predictable but I still loved it! You can read my review to find out why.
SUMMARY
Total number of books read: 8

I’m actually REALLY happy with my reading this month – especially looking at the ratings! Not a bad month reading-wise at least.
You had a pretty good reading month, all things considered, and huzzah at that average rating!!

I read 8 books as well in March. My favorite books of the month are Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey and Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston.

Ooh, I really enjoyed Fix Her Up! The fake-relationship trope is one I adore in books, haha. Red, White & Royal Blue is still on my tbr and I’m kicking myself for it. I *know* I’ll love it

I enjoy that trope as well but I actually pretty much enjoy all of the tropes. I hope you get around to reading it soon. The romance was my favorite part.

Yeah, I used to read a lot more pre-baby! haha.

I’m hoping to “fix” it a bit this month. Since we’re at home more, it might be possible, right? RIGHT?! 😛

Haha!! Good luck!! In theory, yes! Lol 😊😂

I’ve heard other people say that about Of Curses and Kisses, which is disappointing because it sounds really interesting. I really need to finish the Caraval series but I want to reread the first one before that. However, I’m glad to hear that it is worth it!

Right? It’s always a bummer when retellings are just.. not what you wanted them to be.
Ooh, enjoy your reread of Caraval! I reread the first two books as well and it was so worth it. 😀

Woohoo! Way to go, Kathy! 8 books in a month is great.
Hmm…I guess my favorite read of March probably was…oooh, tough call…Between Burning Worlds by Jessica Brody and Joanne Rendell, The Life and (Medieval) Times of Kit Sweetly by Jamie Pacton, and Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams.
I’m hoping to have another great reading month in April, probably somewhere around 20 books read in the month, but we’ll see, because my work position just changed again, and the adjustment period can sometimes be pretty rough.

Thanks!
Undercover Bromance sounds like a fun and quick read? And somewhat queer? [But that’s probably wishful thinking, haha!]
Ooh, changing work position? For the better I hope? Or at least with a higher pay, because that makes it more worthwhile, I’d say? I hope you get those 20+ books read!

It is a pretty quick read. No queer rep yet in the series, but maybe in the future? It does have macho/alpha type men who are in touch with their feelings and learning to be more well rounded menfolk, so that’s cool.
Nope. Exact opposite. $4 an hour pay cut, and going from a solitary position to a general one pretty much surrounded by people. Also, more physically demanding. On the positive side, I’m back to working the same hours as my fiance, so we get to spend more time together each day instead of only seeing each other for a few minutes a day outside of weekends.
I’ve read like 6(?) books so far this month, so I’m feeling pretty good about my chances to read 20+ books again.

Ooh, that definitely makes it sound interesting. [Also, there doesn’t have to be queer rep in EVERY book, but one can hope, haha.]
Oh yikes, that sucks. Especially in a time where maintaining your income is so important.. But seeing your fiance more is definitely a huge plus, I’d say! I go nuts the weeks I don’t see G as much as I want. Even more so because it means they don’t get to see Jamie that much either.
I’m willing to bet you’ve read over 10 by now!

Oh yeah, we can definitely hope for more diverse rep in all the books. They do at least follow some standard romance tropes, though, which can also be fun. Bromance Book Club is second chance romance, Undercover Bromance is rivals-to-lovers, and the third book is going to be friends-to-lovers, so I’m enjoying them.
We were only seeing each other for about a half-hour a day and then all day Saturday and Sunday, but it just didn’t feel like enough. We both spent so much time alone. So I’m glad that we’re together now.
I…have no idea honestly. I won’t really count them until I go to write up my next weekly wrap-up, lol.
