A little while ago, I was asked by someone if I could tell up front how much I was going to like a book and it had me thinking. Sometimes I really do know when I’ll be rating a book rather high, but that’s mostly the case with authors I read before, or a next part in a series. Then, Norees challenged me to predict some bookish things and.. here we are? I guess?
As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page!
The rules for the Prediction Book Tag:

~ Most importantly: have fun!
Prediction for my NEXT READ
I’m actually really hoping to finally start on the Need-books by Carrie Jones. I’ve owned the entire series for a while now and I feel like if I only get started on it, I’ll read all of the books in no time? I’m hoping that’s true but you never know.. Series are either a huge win or a huge disaster when it comes to me reading them in one go.. [Stares at Darkdawn, The Toll and multiple other series finales I have yet to read…]
Prediction for my NEXT 5-STAR READ
I’m currently reading The Opposite of Falling Apart and even though I’m only 17% into it, I’m fairly certain this one has a huge chance of making my list of favorites. The anxiety rep, the MC with one-and-a-half legs, the.. overall story so far. I really believe I’m going to enjoy the rest of the book so, so much! [No pressure, right? No pressure at all!] Seriously though; it’s been a while since I actually felt like understanding anxiety rep through reading and.. the author being able to accomplish that is already worth five stars, I think?
Prediction for my NEXT 1-STAR READ
I honestly do not know. First off, I’ve been out of the loop when it comes to reading reviews of the books I actually known and own. On top of that.. I rather not even think about this and go through my books to maybe spot one that might disappoint me? This is such an awful prompt, Mandy and Sha! I don’t know why you’d torture us like this! I rarely give one-star ratings anyway so.. Like.. Uhm. I don’t know?! I do know that Only the Ocean is a book I received in a book box and.. I haven’t been interested in actually reading it. Maybe that’ll be the one? Although it might also be the “one I might not pick up after writing this” because yeah..
Prediction for my NEXT LOVE INTEREST / COOL CHARACTER
Uhm.. I honestly don’t know. I have some anthologies on my March TBR so I might fall in love with one of the characters from those books? But it’s hard to narrow it down when I don’t even know what the stories are about. Going in blind and all that. But.. although it won’t be my “next” love interest, I’ll probably end up being mushy over any one of Talia Hibbert’s characters when reading the ebooks I hauled in February. And I’m planning on reading those fairly soon-ish too since.. we can barely leave our homes and all that.
Prediction for my NEXT BOOK BUY
The problem is how I’m on a true book buying ban and actually sticking to it for once which makes answering this prompt harder than it usually would be. Although chances are huge I’ll be buying finished copies of ARC’s I loved fairly soon if I stick to my reading plans – and thus am allowed to buy some books. I even keep a wishlist now to have some kind of overview of the books I want most! Top of the list are The Sky is Mine by Amy Beashel and Foul Is Fair by Hannah Capin. I linked the reviews so definitely check those out!
Prediction for my NEXT BOOK TO GIVE ME A HANGOVER
Thah. This has me snorting. I know just picking up this book – this torture of a book – will give me one of the biggest book hangovers I’ve ever had. Which is probably why I haven’t read any of the copies I own and.. for some stupid reason I really went all-out in ordering all the special editions. Spent all that money on a story I know will utterly destroy me. Logic, right? But it’s a simple fact how Darkdawn has ruined a lot of people and I’m terrified, okay. I’m truly, truly terrified.
As for the tagging of people.. I’m going with Dani @ Mousaibooks, Belle @ Belle Can Read, Wendy @ Whatthelog, Cassie @ Books With Cassie and Misty @ Misty’s Book Space! Curious to find out whether these prompts are as torturous for you as they were for me, haha.
What’s a book you’re holding off on reading for one reason or another?
Do you have any sequels you’re scared to pick up? Which one? Why?!

Thanks so much for doing the tag, Kathy! I loved reading your answers. I definitely have had a few books that I got from a bookish book or something, and it’s definitely been a challenge whether or not decide to pick them up and enjoy them if you didn’t want to pick them up in the first place. Hopefully all the predictions come through – except for the bad ones, of course! 🙂

You’re welcome! Ha, right? I loooove bookish boxes but the books in them are all over the place. I’ve loved most, thought the rest of them okay but.. there’s always some that simply don’t speak to you at all? We’ll see! 🙂

It’s been a while since I’ve read a book with good anxiety rep. I seriously hope The Opposite of Falling Apart really turns out to be a 5 star read!
Hahahaha, I haven’t read the Nevernight Chronicles yet, but I get the feeling. If you could see all the series I’m too scared continue 🙈. At least its ~ pretty ~ cover can haunt you after it gives you a book hangover 😅.
Thank you so much for the tag, Kathy 😄! I already know it’s gonna be hard 😂.

My review on The Opposite of Falling Apart won’t be ownvoices – I’m keen to read those reviews though – but.. so far I feel like it’s on point? But, like I said, since I don’t have an anxiety disorder myself, it’s hard to make statements like that. I can say all I want; it’s the people who know what it’s like that can give us the “true” opinion.
Oooooh, you should totally read those though! The two first books are amazing at least. 😛 I’m trying to make some headway on all the series I haven’t finished yet.. We’ll see how that goes. 😛 [Honestly, the cover is so gorgeous I own multiple copies of the thing so I should TOTALLY read it since it’s kind of ridiculous to own that many copies of a book you haven’t read, right?]
Haha, you’re welcome! Hope you have fun with it. 😀

Ooo such a fun tag! I agree with you about Get A Life, Chloe Brown. I feel like I’m going to totally swoon over the romance and characters in that book.

Right? I’m hoping to get to it soon, but I need to finish my current contemporary read first. 😀
