Last year, Destiny [Howling Libraries] and I hosted the Short-a-thon at the end of the year. Now.. Apparently we haven’t learned our lesson since people keep freaking out about not meeting their Goodreads-goal by the end of the year. Basically, this means we are back to help you out! Yup, you read that right. Short-a-thon is back for its second round!

Short-a-what? Short-a-thon – the read-a-thon that focuses solely on the shortest and quickest reads we own!
If that doesn’t sound awesome already, maybe we should point out how we’re hosting it during a period where many of us struggle to find a lot of reading time – during the holidays! And if that isn’t motivation aplenty, think of the way you’ll up your “books read in 2019” by participating. I mean.. Pretty sure you can’t say no.

Put all that together.. And the Short-A-Thon is here! Co-hosted by Destiny and myself!
Definitely go check out her post as well, while you’re at it!

Want to participate? Here’s all the info regarding the Short-A-Thon:

General info
◊ All about reading the shortest / quickest reads on your TBR.
◊ Starts at 12.00 AM, your own timezone, on December 21st.
◊ Ends at 11.59 PM, your own timezone, on December 31st.

To do for you
◊ Create a blog post / tweet / something where you list the ten – or more – shortest books on your TBR. You can also just leave a comment with your TBR. Like – I’m simply curious to see what your shortest books are, really.
◊ Make sure you leave a comment with the link so I can add you to my list of participants!
◊ If you’re sharing any updates on social media, use #shortathon19 so we can follow up on one another!
◊ Feel like joining us in some sprints and other fun talk? Go and follow our Twitter, @shortathon!

Remember, it doesn’t matter how much you read or how many books you tick off as long as you have fun reading and maybe get to know some people in the meanwhile, hah!
And as long as we can tackle our TBR’s, bit by bit, page by page, book by book.

The participants
◊ Me, of course!
◊ Destiny @ Howling Libraries
◊ YOU?

    1. Ha, people started poking me and Destiny to ask if it was coming back so that proves this readathon is very much NEEDED. 😛
Awesome!! I have yet to create my TBR. It’s on my to do but.. My brain hates my to do. :’)

  1. I still don’t know if I’ll be able to participate in this readathon but it sounds like a such a great idea, I’ll definitely keep it in mind. I met my GR goal a long time ago but I do have several short books yet to be read sitting on my shelves for a while (I’m more a big books person tbh) and this could really be motivating!

    1. I hope you do! I met my goal months ago as well, but I’m always up to tackling my TBR a bit more.
Totally get the big-books thing. Either it’s a big book, or it’s a quick read (but not necessarily a short one, if you know what I mean), which means the actual short books keep sitting on my shelves..

    1. You’re one of the few, I reckon, haha. So many people are stressing about meeting their Goodreads-goal. It’s unreal.. But you can definitely use it as a motivation for reading those last couple of books! 😀
