BACK TO WORK – not a lot of reading done.. – WWW: September 25th

WWW Wednesday

I’m back at work since Monday and.. although I had hoped to come back with a huge “Look at all the books I read, guys!”, that is.. most definitely.. not’s what going to happen in this post. I’m typing this while laughing so hard because I should have know, okay? I should have. But I hoped differently, haha!
In any case, let’s look at the books I read – and am still reading.

As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page, so feel free to check them out!

Current read

Wilder GirlsTellus (Thanatos Trilogy #2)

I’m.. Yup.. Still reading Wilder Girls and last time I said it’s due to the thing being my “bath book”, but unfortunately I’m.. simply not that eager to read it anymore either? I don’t know. It’s still my bath book so we’ll see how it goes?
Apart from that, I started Tellus, the sequel to Imber – which I wrote a review on you should DEFINITELY check! I so, so enjoyed the first book so I had to get my hands on the second installment. Which I did. In eARC and.. my finished copy as well.. Oh, and I got signed bookplates because Tyffany is an absolute sweetheart!

Finished reading

  1. Kathy with a baby it’s nearly impossible to read many books! But the good news is that it improves …with time LOL

  2. I really wanted to read Wilder Girls but I’ve heard mixed reviews so not sure I’ll be picking it anytime soon. Also it’s has a very long hold on it at library. 🙂

    1. Haha, that hold would make me curious but I finally finished it today and I’m going with “an okay read”. It didn’t creep me out, nor did the gore do anything for me so.. I’m going to try and collect my thoughts before writing a review. 🙂

  3. I’ve heard about Wilder Girls that it kind of declines in time? I don’t really know because I haven’t read it but I have so many thoughts about it in my head. Since I’ve heard of it I keep thinking that it sounds like a female version of William Golding’s “Lord of the flies” but Golding’s main thing was always that the story only works because it was all boys and it wouldn’t work with an all female cast on the island. So it’s kinda confusing to me. Anyway. I hope you get back into it or find something else to read in the tub. 😉

    1. I’ve never read Lord of the Flies; is that a bad thing? In any case.. Your comment dates back to September 25 (so sorry for the delay!) and.. I finished it TODAY. Basically I didn’t allow myself to leave the bathroom until I finished the thing, haha.
It ended up being an okay read, but it wasn’t my cup of tea.. I didn’t feel the creepiness, the gore didn’t do anything for me and.. I don’t know.. I still have to collect my thoughts before trying to write a review. 😛
