READING, READING AND READING SOME MORE! – WWW: February 13th

WWW Wednesday

The day is approaching. Tomorrow’s my due date so we’re pretty much.. anticipating the arrival of our little wiggle enormously right now. Obviously, since I’m posting this, it hasn’t happened yet – haha.
It’s been a busy week since my last reading update, mainly because of work happening at our house and trying to get everything in order. On top of that, we’ve been trying to squeeze in as much quality time as we possibly can. And a lot of reading time. Because.. well.. both those things will probably disappear for quite some time, right?

Let’s see how many books I was able to read this past week!

As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page, so feel free to check them out!

Current read

Lovestruck

I started this eARC of Kate Watson’s Lovestruck over the weekend. I haven’t had much motivation to read on, mainly because there’s a whole lot of god-names being thrown around and.. my head isn’t really in the right space for that, I guess? I did love her Seeking Mansfield and enjoyed Shoot the Moon, so I’ll definitely get back to this one eventually! I might just pick up some other books first though..

Finished reading

The Prince and the DressmakerMy Kinda Kisses (Summer Sisters #1)The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air, #2)
Fantastic Beasts the Crimes of Grindelwald: The Original ScreenplayConsort of Pain (The Witch's Consorts #3)Consort of Fire (The Witch's Consorts Book 4)

And.. I read a lot of books! Like.. a lot. Even better? Five of them I owned pre-2019 which means they all count when it comes to my new book buying rules, haha! The Wicked King was easily the biggest roller coaster ride. That ending. Seriously. Holly Black does not disappoint when it comes to cliffhangers, that’s for sure. And now the wait for the third book is on.. *sigh*

Reading next

Consort of Light (The Witch's Consorts #5)City of Ghosts (Cassidy Blake, #1)The Last Namsara (Iskari, #1)

I’m pretty tempted to read the final installment in Eva Chase’s The Witch’s Consort-series, so maybe I’ll pick up that one? Or I might go with City of Ghosts or The Last Namsara. I decided to pull Language of Thorns off my February TBR because I unpacked the Grisha-trilogy and I’d rather read those first!

ARC overview

A Pack of Blood and LiesAnd We Call It LoveInternmentFix Her Up

No new additions, yay! Or not so yay since I did request a bunch but yeah. International, whoop.

How are you guys doing? Reading-wise and health-wise? Daily life-wise?
Are you dreading all the lovey-dovey stuff tomorrow will bring as much as I am?
Although I might just use it as an excuse to buy myself chocolates.

If you have a WWW-post of your own, feel free to leave it in the comments!

  1. Congrats on the successful reading week! I had an exam today so I’ve been reading my textbook and only for fun during my commute or the 5mins before I zonk at night *lol. Looking forward to the rest of the week where maybe I can finish something?! Thinking of you and hope all goes well!

  2. Ohh how was The Prince and The Dressmaker? I hope you enjoyed it, I’ve been hearing lots of great things about that one 🙂 Happy reading, Kathy, take care ❤ ❤ ❤

  3. Me and my hub don’t do Valentine’s Day. We never have. We used to know a couple that were horrible to each other and then suddenly on Valentine’s they would be all lovey dovey and we were both like: nope! Neither of us is that romantic anyway – luckily we match in that respect 🙂

  4. I’m so excited for you! I hope that everything goes as smoothly as possible! And oddly enough… I actually got a lot of reading done during those hours nursing/feeding my girls. If I’d had a Kindle in those days, I probably would have gotten more done (basically hands free reading)!
