TTT: SHORTEST BOOKS I read during the last ten days of December

Wrap-up

I am pretty much.. sitting here in shame because this post is going up so late. I simply didn’t have time or energy yesterday, or the day before. The move has been draining me – not to mention family commitments and trying to relax in between but.. I’m here! Now! With the first post of today, since I refuse to skip my weekly reading update. That one will be up very soon!
Anyway. I know the title of this post might sound weird to some of you, but I swear it isn’t! Destiny @ Howling Libraries and I hosted the Short-a-thon from December 21st until December 31st, which means it’s time to wrap that beauty up! And what better way than to share these “short” books with all the TTT-addicts, right?

Maybe I should mention how these books aren’t necessarily short, but more the “shortest, unread ones I owned” or something..

I didn’t read ten books – moving will do that to you – but I did read six! And started a seventh! Apart from Macbeth and The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things, are all pretty love-focused but I guess that’s exactly what I needed at the end of the year?

The seventh book I started, but still haven’t finished is The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. I didn’t want to fly through it since I feel like I have to sit down and think about what I read after finishing a chapter. I want to get as much out of reading it as I possibly can – and so far I feel like I’ve been succeeding? Definitely a book you should read if you feel like you care too much about certain things or maybe think you’re caring about the wrong things to start with.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life

Have you ever read a book slowly on purpose? Which one?
How have your holidays been?!

  1. Short-a-Thon was so much fun. (It was the perfect reason to hide from family in my room, holidays are way too much stress.) Thanks to you and Destiny for hosting!!

I think you can forgive yourself if this post is a little late. You *are* in the process of moving! The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck sounds like a read I should pick up. Hmm.

    1. Yaay! Hah, it gave me an excuse to just ignore the whole world and binge-read a book without the BF going “You are NOT binge-reading that monster of a book cause then you won’t do shit all day”. <_< [He isn't really a bully but sometimes he can be when it comes to my reading haha]
You're very welcome! I'm hoping to host another one sometime this year and actually.. have social media activity? I totally failed at that part..

I'm not even halfway through The Subtle Art but I already feel like it's such an important one! There are things in there that had me nodding like a madwoman – like, people focusing on being happy short-term, doing temporary things to get that happy feeling and ignoring the long-term problems. There are things about that in there that.. hit home to be honest. :')

    1. Oooh that’s awesome! 😀
I really didn’t do as well as I’d hoped but.. well.. life.. moving.. holidays.. I really underestimated all those things combined and wanting to read as well. 😛
