SHORT-A-THON IS ALMOST HERE! And I’m succeeding at clearing my current reads? For now.. – WWW: December 19th

WWW Wednesday

I can hardly believe it’s Wednesday – AGAIN. Do you guys even realize that this time next week we’ll have celebrated Christmas? [At least those who actually celebrate it.] Not to mention how 2018 is poof by this time in two weeks? Like.. How is this even happening?
On the upside.. Today is my last full day of work. Tomorrow I have another half day to go – but that’s mainly setting things up for my two week-holiday so.. that’ll be kind of relaxing, hopefully? And if not, I’ll at least be able to relax in the afternoon with a whole lot of reading, yaaaay!

Speaking of reading.. This is how the past week went..

As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page, so feel free to check them out!

Current read

Nevernight (The Nevernight Chronicle, #1)

I managed to have only one current read on this again – and I’m so proud of myself too. I have a little over one hundred pages to go, so I should be able to finish this soon. Maybe today?

Finished reading

Tell Me a SecretThe Last Train: A Short StoryfawnThree Times the Fun: A Reverse Harem Thanksgiving Love Story

I finished these four – yay! Again, three short books of which I didn’t really like one and absolutely loved another but.. You’ll have to wait for my reviews to find out more – ha! [Hint: Please read the blurb of some of Jane Fallon’s books – they’re so worth it.]

Reading next

The Start of Me and You

And this is where it gets hard! With the Short-a-thon starting on Friday, I should actually not start anything new if I want to have an empty “current reads”-shelf but I cannot see how I wouldn’t be reading tomorrow? And I will definitely not succeed at stretching Nevernight until bed time tomorrow evening. That’s impossible. On the other hand, The Start of Me and You is on my Magical Read-a-thon TBR and I tend to fly through contemporary books? So maybe I’ll just read that one in between the shorter books I plan on reading?

ARC overview

Imber (Thanatos Trilogy #1)The Gilded Wolves (The Gilded Wolves, #1)A Pack of Blood and Lies
All the Lonely PeopleLovestruckAnd We Call It Love

No change here, alas.

What are your reading plans this week?
Do you desperately want / need to finish a specific book?
How many of you dove into Queen of Air and Darkness the moment it arrived?
I haven’t yet since I want to reread EVERYTHING else first..
[Don’t forget about the SHORT-A-THON, PEOPLE!]

If you have a WWW-post of your own, feel free to leave it in the comments!

  1. I made a video of my short-a-thon picks- go easy on me cause it’s only my 3rd one. 😬

I’m so excited I found your blog and I’m already working hard on completing my list of books for the a-thon. I’m mixing it in with my end of year TBR reads and all the holiday books I purchased because I was just so sure I would have plenty of time to read this month. 🙃

Thanks for creating this challenge. 💪🏼📚❄️

    1. Oooh, that’s so awesome! I’m going to check it out right now!

That’s amazing! Haha, I honestly thought I’d have more time to read as well. Not to mention actually keep the Short-a-thon-twitter more active? But I’m.. kind of failing.. Oops..

      You’re very welcome! I’m hoping there’ll be a round two someday. 😀

  2. Congrats on having only 1 current read–I’m jealous; I currently have 5, though I’m just about to finish Rule by Ellen Goodlett, so it will be 4 soon! 😅
And that’s so exciting that your 2 week holiday is about to start! I hope you have a fabulous time with lots of great reads! 🙂

  3. I really wanted to finish my current read (Polyamorous: Living and Loving More) before short-a-thon starts – it’s still possible if I read it tomorrow after my exam, but not very likely. Yikes. I’ll see you during short-a-thon!! I can’t wait 😀
