It’s December and I’m still quite.. shocked? People told me my pregnancy would fly by and I knew the year was already flying by but those two things combined? It’s unreal, people. It really is. I feel like I should have at least three more months to get everything in order before even thinking about the holidays? Wishful thinking since that’s not the amount of time I’m getting, haha. I can’t be the only one though..
Anyway, let’s see how this past week went…
As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page, so feel free to check them out!
I haven’t made any real progress on The Girl King so far? And it’s not because I don’t like it, I do! I absolutely love Lu and how bad-ass she’s been so far but.. I’ve been distracted? And I felt like reading on my Kindle.. Not only that. I also find myself in the mood for cozy reads, romantic reads, winter reads! Which is why, instead of picking up The Girl King again, I ended up starting another eBook earlier today.
I didn’t finish that many books compared to past weeks, but I honestly don’t even care. I was so sleep-deprived that I decided to focus on actually sleeping during the weekend. So glad I did too! Yup, less reading but at least I feel human again and that’s worth way more at this point. Have to take care of myself and the little wiggle after all.
I absolutely loved Merry Inkmas, by the way. You should totally check it out! I got it for free on Amazon – don’t know if it’s still up there but grab it if you like Christmas-reads with diversity!
[MC is POC and there’s a queer side character!]
And this is where I have to admit I have no clue. I have put together some kind of reading schedule, but I feel like mood-reading so that’s probably what I’ll end up doing. Life’s been way too “planned” lately, so I need something to just do as I want and reading might be it. I’ve been eyeing some newer releases – Lifel1l3 and Wildcard, but I might as well go with Nevernight or Daughter of the Burning City. Or just stick to my mood-reading tendencies and keep picking up romantic, cozy reads or something..
I really should get Imber knocked off this one. I don’t want to know how long it’s been on here but it’s long. I also have about four ARC’s that release in January so… yup. I guess I might be a little bit in trouble. Maybe.
I know I *should* encourage you to read your ARCs, but tbh… you should just keep those cozy romantic reads going because it’s the holidays and, uh, what better time? :’)

EXACTLY THAT. Although right now I’m set on finishing The Girl King. I want to get it off my current reads by next week and darnit I will succeed. :’) We’ll see what my mood does after that, haha.

I just bought Merry Inkmas based on the above and your comment. It’s free on Amazon Kindle so why not?

It was an okay read! I wish there was more men baking in it though.. Not nearly enough of that, haha.

LOL! Yes, more men baking is always better.

I started Merry Inkmas last night and I almost made it halfway through. I’m absolutely loving it so far and I will most likely be finishing it today. I set a TBR and I went for mostly christmassy reads because I’m in a festive mood.

Awesome! Pretty sure you’ll have finished it by now then, ha. 🙂
I relate. Although my festive mood only popped up once my TBR was already posted so I’m.. pretty much ignoring my entire TBR right now.

Yes I finished it last night and I loved it. My festive mood started as soon as I got out of my slump in November.
