Autumn has arrived! And since I already put up my next seasonal goals, bucket list and TBR, it only makes sense to wrap up the previous one. Which is exactly what I’m going to do!
Have to admit, though, Summer was a hard one. Finding out I’m pregnant, house-hunting and finding a house to buy and then the ridiculous heat wave we had here in Belgium.. It definitely messed up my plans a whole lot! No regrets, however, because I’m getting so much in return and I can’t be mad about that, can I?
Anyway, let’s see how I did so I can start focusing on the leaves falling, the windy, rainy sounds and.. a whole lot of sweater-weather! Because I’m really, really ready for all that.
Book / blog – related
º Post on Instagram every two days at the least. (Definite fail)
º Read 30 books. (CHECK)
º Reread Harry Potter. (1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7) (ALMOOOOST.)
° Start my reread of the Game of Thrones-books. (FAIL)
º Do NOT post every day; even if it’s only a week. (CHECK)
I almost, almost succeeded at ticking off three of these goals. I’m counting it as three ticked off because I’m still so proud of having reread most of Harry Potter. I’m hoping to read the last installment later this year!
Personal / health – related
° Walk home from work at least seven times. (two times – 17/07)
° Drink more water. (CHECK – 2l a day)
° Eat at least two different kinds of fruit every week. (CHECK – bananas, grapes and kiwis are my best friends!)
Yup! I did good! The only reason I stopped walking home from work is due to my pregnancy and barely having the energy to get up and leave for work. Actually walking home for over an hour was.. not done.
º Make fruity popsicles (FAIL)
º Go on an impulsive camping trip (FAIL – Pregnancy made that not so great of an idea..)
º See the sunset while at the beach (CHECK. Sort of.. Clouds ruined it?!)
º Barbecue (CHECK.)
º Make my own lemonade (FAIL)
º Wash my car (15/07/2018)
º Go swimming at least once
° Watch five DVD’s (Eragon – FAIL, but I did watch a lot of movies on Netflix?)
º Go for a hike in the Ardennes (FAIL – Yeah, we didn’t want to do that anymore since.. pregnant..)
Okay… So here’s where I’m actually a bit disappointed. I know I can’t really help not doing certain things because of my pregnancy, but I really wanted to make my own popsicles and lemonade. I planned it a couple of times and then just.. ended up eating the fruit or using it for other things?
I definitely didn’t stick to my DVD-plan but.. Netflix distracted me! I was in the mood for a whole load of fluff, which I got.. Loved The Kissing Booth and To All The Boys I Loved Before – just saying. Oh, and every time I felt like swimming, the boyfriend didn’t and I refused to go on my own so there’s that.
[Have I redeemed myself yet by explaining all this? Haha. No. Seriously. I failed my Summer bucket list hard.]
And you’d hope I didn’t fail my Summer TBR but – guess what! – I DID. Because I only read three of the books I wanted to read this season. Oops? Let’s just hope Autumn will be way better on.. all.. accounts..
Oooh i feel you with the portion eatings, I don’t eat much either and we’ve often had to throw leftover food out 😦

It sucks, right?! I hate throwing food out and often try to solve it another way.. Pretty sure my boyfriend and I will have a discussion on maybe getting a chicken or two once we’ve moved so we can give our leftovers to them, haha. :’)

You almost made it with HP! 😀 And wow, two different kinds of fruit? I’m so jealous. I hardly ever get fruit. And I think pregnancy is a good excuse for failing some of these!

Hah, almost! 😛 Yup! I try to have kiwis in the house at all times and preferably bananas as well. Glad I got into that habit, to be honest. I’ve been spending less on cookies and chocolate since, haha. 😛
Thanks! 😀

Chalk it up to life experience! 🙂 But congrats on basically finishing your re-read of Harry Potter! I look at it like this – you accomplished a lot of things, even if you didn’t get to check them all off your list. That’s a win. 🙂

Haha, thank you! That’s definitely true. I do hope I’ll tick off more from the Autumn list though. 😀

It seems like you still did great on your goals overall, Kathy, even if the pregnancy and house-hunting and everything changed your goals a little bit – still, it’s all for the better I guess 😀 ❤ ❤ I hope that autumn will be just as good for you, I am sending you all the love and vibes ❤

At least you ate the ingredients 😁. Often i order groceries but when they come i forget why, and they end up going off. Lol.
Game of thrones i think is a great autumn/winter (is coming) book, so you can still do it 😃

Hahah; that’s something I haven’t had before! Although we do sometimes fight the portions of things.. I’m a small eater and my BF doesn’t eat that much anymore either – it’s hard sometimes to find portions that fit two people without having to throw food out..
True! But with the IT-readalong, we’ll have to see how I’ll manage to squeeze in more Autumn-books without giving big books the stink-eye, haha.
