WRAP UP – TBR Jar Readathon!

Wrap-up

As I announced a little while back, I participated in Liza @ Dusk Angel Reads‘ TBR Jar Readathon. It started July 2nd and ended yesterday right before midnight. Those of you who checked out my weekly WWW-post know I was really struggling with reading. Did I get out of the slump entirely? Maybe partly? Or not at all?

First things first: I refused to pull a book out of my jar [okay, it was a mug] without having finished my current read at that time. So I only really started the readathon on July 4th – two days late. I had eight books in my mug, and ended up pulling out three, but only reading two!
That might sound weird but I was expecting to have way more reading time during the weekend, so I pulled out two books hoping to read both of them. Save to say that didn’t work out. I didn’t even start the third one!

Here are the books I ended up reading.

Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1)I Was Born For This

I read one book for my science fiction-challenge and one for YALC – which is good, right?! Unfortunately I didn’t participate in any reading sprints – blaming my reading slump and reading whenever I had five minutes of time for that. All in all, it didn’t go as well as I’d hoped but I still ended up reading some books. Still proud! As I ought to be since it’s so hard when you’re fighting that dreaded slump.

Did you participate? How many books did you end up reading?
Are there any other readathons you’re going to join in on?

    1. I didn’t think of that. But you’re so right. 😱 Why must I fall for winged boys?!

Ugh, I was the same way when I finished that book. The second is good, but don’t get your hopes up on the third though.

  2. I’ve heard great reviews for “I was Born For This” and I want to read it:) I didn’t do this readathon but I’ve done a few before…. I know that 24in48 is coming up on the 21st and 22nd of this month if you’re looking for another one! I was going to do it but I’m working most of both days and wouldn’t be able to fit any reading in :/

    1. Definitely recommend it! It’s an amazing story, that’s for sure. Even more so because I personally loved seeing both sides of a fandom. Being in one and having one – definitely gave some interesting themes to this book.
I might attempt the 24in48 but I’m low on energy lately, so that might be a huge fail, haha. 😛 Sucks you have to work on those days though! Hopefully you’ll be able to participate next time! [Or maybe you should just organize one yourself. ;)]
