Hi Munchworms!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words where you answer three fixed questions.

I was doing pretty well getting a lot of books read and then Obsidio arrived so I kind of started ignoring them? Oops. But so not sorry about it. Nope.

What are you currently reading?

Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #2)You, Me, EverythingThe Call

What did you recently finish reading?

A Wrinkle in TimeChicken Soup for the Teenage Soul on Tough Stuff: Stories of Tough Times and Lessons Learned (Chicken Soup for the Soul)Obsidio (The Illuminae Files, #3)

That book, guys. Obsidio ruined me in the best and worst way possible and I couldn’t stop reading for the life of me. I barely got enough sleep simply because I needed to finish it. My lord…

What are you reading next?

I’m definitely going to finish my current reads first – but probably ignore the fact that Days of Blood and Starlight is on there as well since I’ve been doing that since December… And then I’ll need to get cracking on eARC’s because… LOOK AT THIS…

Love ConnectionSometime After MidnightRegrets (Follow Your Heart #2)Paris Ever AfterBrave Enough
Sticks and StonesThis Is Just My Face: Try Not to StareThe Unbinding of Mary ReadeThe Art of French KissingThe Lost Savior (Alinthia #1)

I have no self-restraint. This is getting ridiculous. I need to take a week off from work to read all those? Like, if only they’d accept that reason…
How is your reading going?
Did you read Obsidio?! Are you planning on it?!

Yep

  1. I’ve heard a lot of positive things for The Call. That it’s kind of dark and gruesome, but also hard to put down. OMG, all the ARCs! LOL Yeah, you need a week off just to read. Let me know if that works for you. 🙂 I feel like I’m the only person not on the Obsidio bandwagon. Odd girl out! But I’ve just never had any interest in the books. I do have it on hold at the library for my husband, though. He loved Illuminae and Gemina and is so ready for Obsidio.

    1. I’m not that far in yet – I got totally sidetracked by Obsidio – so I can’t really agree or disagree yet, haha.
Right?! I’d loooove a week off but work is getting hectic again with the end of the trimester so I’ll have to make do with the spare time I have left. :’)
Honestly, sci-fi isn’t really my cup of tea but I got so intrigued by the format that I wanted to read Illuminae anyway. I was sold – after a bit of struggling to actually get used to the format – and wanted Gemina immediately, haha. Pleasant surprise! I can totally understand people not having any interest in it though. I would’ve never picked it up if not my curiosity regarding the format. 😛
Hope your husband enjoys it! There’s one event not even halfway through the book that pretty much made me read all the remaining pages in one go!

  2. I am waiting on mine to come in the mail. Me and a friend bought each other the book because I wanted the paperback and she wanted the hardback. The paperback was only available at Book Depository for a reasonable price and I can’t order from that site but she can so she got that for me and I got her the hardback.

    1. You’d be surprised! I read all those books like a train. The format really did help me with that though, haha. As for Obsidio.. Even before I was halfway there was an event that pretty much made sure I wasn’t going to stop reading until I finished the whole thing. 😛
