Wrap-up & Book Haul: [Fantastic] February

Wrap-upHi Munchworms!

I think February has gone by fairly quicker than January did and I’m so ridiculously happy with that! I’ve got some concerts to look forward to in the coming months and I cannot wait, haha!
Like, Fall Out Boy? Icon for Hire? Oh, going to see Sam Smith with my mom! And Queen + Adam Lambert in June?! I’m soooo ready for all of them! Not to mention the German festival we’re going to. Whoop!

Anyway. Let’s start this wrap-up with sharing the one song that has been stuck in my head all month now, ever since I saw them live. Just because I can and secretly hope it’ll be stuck in one of your heads’ as well now, ha!

Now, with that song on the background, let’s get to it and see what I read and hauled this month. Prepare to be blown away because… This one might’ve had a small shopping spree. Like, a genuine book-shopping spree… And I didn’t even have to pay myself, ha!

Books I read

Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass, #4)Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass, #5)

Why am I like this.. Why do I keep buying books that are in my FairyLoot?!

I know why. Because I refuse to check the themes so I don’t spoil myself.. Ugh.

Check this out!

First I want to do some self-promo on my own blog because I noticed a lot of people loved the fact that I stood up and shared a bit of my past. I think it’s the most personal post I’ve written to date. Feel free to check out my discussion-post on authors getting accused of harassment
Then we have the amazing Mikaela @ The Well-Thumbed Reader sharing 10 of her book blogging hacks!
Lu @ It’s Lu Again has a discussion on diversity in books which I loved reading!
Avery @ Red Rocket Panda shared his February bullet journal spread – I honestly love looking at other people’s spreads, haha.
Both May @ Forever and Everly and Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books talk about why and how to support bloggers, which are definitely important posts and even a boost for all bloggers.
Marie also talked about why rating books can be such a hard task at times and the pressures of blogging. This made me add a little pep talk to one of my posts as well.
Kirstie @ Upside-Down Books shares ten places where you could spend Valentine’s Day – or just about any other day, really.
Austine @ Novelknight tells us why having a brand is important and is creating a Book Community Media Dashboard so be sure to add your own!
I loved Destiny’s @ Howling Libraries review on Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer!
Drew @ The Tattooed Book Geek tells us why you should or shouldn’t start a book blog.

Oh, and one very important post! Liza @ Duskangelreads has her March Readathon post up!

Pfoo! That was a lot!
How has your month been? Have you read a lot? Bought plenty of books? Or are you rocking a book buying ban and it’s actually working this time around?! Talk to me!

And I think you did pretty amazing with Fantastic February! I mean at least you read SOME books that count towards the challenge, it‘s better than nothing :‘) and you read 14 books?? HOW?? You need to teach me your ways XD

I hope your March will be just as successful! Happy reading!

    1. I haven’t read them yet but I’ve heard soooo many things about them! I’m going to wait and see how I like it before I order Restore Me though, haha.
Right?! Normally I try not to by any kind of movie editions but with this one.. I simply didn’t care all that much, haha.

Thaaaanks! Hahaha. People keep asking me that. Let’s just say it’s the benefits of not studying but having a job and.. well.. having a tendency to neglect chores? I’m really good at that – although it does frustrates my boyfriend.. xD

      Thank you! You too!

Simon vs. is EVERYTHING. I really cannot wait to see the movie. I HAVE to see it.

Hahaha! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that he’ll love giving you as much books as mine gives me!

Haha, and this month is proving to be a fun one as well when it comes to books. I'm getting that habit of ordering physical copies of the eARC's I love and that's ending up in quite some mail lately, oops?

  4. You have read and RECEIVED so many books, your boyfriend deserves an award there… or you are particularily good at manipulating people hahaha either way I AM LOVIN IT SO MUCH. I am eager to know how you feel about the shatter me series, this series has so many mixed reviews, but I personally loved it and I can’t wait for restore me to be released to read it 🙂
THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing all of my blog posts and for all of your support this past month, you are the sweetest and THE BEST and I am so grateful to have you! ❤ I hope your March will be fantastic!! xx

    1. I was simply brilliant when I came up with an agreement and the consequences if one of us didn’t stick to that agreement. Fortunately for me, HE sucks at sticking to it so that gives me plentyyyy of books, hahaha!
I’ve heard so many things about the Shatter Me-series, it got me curious. Don’t know when I’ll read them, but.. eventually. 😛

You’re welcome! ❤ I hope you're doing better now than you were back then. Never forget the mood-doing! 🙂
Hoping the same for you! ❤

I know, so many books, so little time… no matter when, I’ll look forward to your thoughts on this series, it has SO many mixed reviews, I’m curious to see where you stand 🙂

  5. Aweeeeeeee. Thank you so much for mentioning me in your post ❤ ❤ ❤ I keep meaning to share some of my fave blogs from this month but I'm never organized enough! I want to do one for my march wrap up though because it's such a nice way to support each other.

Alsooooo, I have been seeing you reading the Legend series on Goodreads and it has reminded me that I need to get my butt into gear and actually read it this month!

    1. You’re welcome! ❤

Haha, I tend to just copy/paste them ANYWHERE whenever I stumble upon a post I want to mention. Or I have to dedicate a whole day to checking out the blogs I follow and finding some interesting posts – if I haven't done my prep decently. :') Definitely is a nice way to support one another. It's precisely why I started including them in the first place. 🙂

Yes, you should! Warcross pretty much sold me on Lu's writing. The Legend-trilogy was good as well. I'm thinking about buying The Young Elites-trilogy but we'll have to see whether my bank account allows it or not..

  6. Ah, thanks so much for linking back to my post! 😘

LOOK AT ALL THE BOOKS YOU READ. I love Simon Vs, SJM, and the Legend trilogy so that all works for me! This reading month sucked, and I’m hoping March is so much better! And yeah for concerts! I haven’t gone to one since I was 12 and went to see Lorde. 😭

Also, totally rethinking the whole “not dating until much later in life” thing if it means I can get all the books! 😂

Haha, I did have a good reading month!
Simon vs. was GORGEOUS. I can't wait for that movie to come out, to be honest. I literally cannot imagine the movie disappointing me?!

Oooh, boo. You should definitely put that on your to do-list for this year if it's been that long! Concerts are way too much fun to never do!

Hahaha. Dating is definitely a benefit when it comes to books. Especially if your other half is the WORST at gifts and simply goes "here's my money, buy yourself some books" 😂

  7. That song is ridiculously catchy, I have a sudden urge to go and download it. I still haven’t managed to get around to The Cruel Prince or The Hazel Wood despite getting them in Fairyloot as well! I think all the hype is getting to me.

    1. Hahaha, do it! I still play it at least two or three times very day. I cannot get rid of it at all. 😛
The Cruel Prince is worth reading. I read it before the hype and loved it. 🙂 Haven’t read The Hazel Wood yet but I’ve seen mixed reviews on that one so we’ll see.

    Great post!
