Hi Munchworms!
A little while back, Noriko @ Diary of a Bookfiend tagged me for the Currently Reading Book Tag. Since this is one I haven’t done yet, I’m all too happy to tick this one off the list, ha!
Definitely go over to her blog and give it a look. Noriko is the sweetest person and I always enjoy reading her posts!
THE QUESTIONS
How many books do you usually read at once?
I try to read only one at a time but sometimes it’s two. Switching between a physical book and an eBook is practically my go-to move lately. I also love having two books of different genres. Mood reader alert. That way I can just pick up what I feel like reading at that moment.
If you are reading more than one book at a time, how do you decide when to switch books?
Definitely depends on my mood! Sometimes I come home after a rough day and just want to escape into a different world, then fantasy is the thing for me. Or if I had a good day, I might be up for some fuzzy romance. I don’t know. It all depends. And even when I had a rough day, I’d sometimes pick up romance or contemporary because I simply feel like it?
Do you ever switch bookmarks while you are partway through a book?
Uh, that can happen but that’s mostly a case of “what’s lying closest is what I’m using” and since my bookmarks are literally everywhere…
Where do you keep the book(s) you are currently reading?
On my nightstand! Or in my bag when I take it to work. Depends on how big it is since my bag’s often stuffed with food and drinks, haha. If I had some time to read in the morning, my current read can also be found on the couch.
What time of day do you spend the most time reading?
In the evening, definitely! As soon as I get home, I’m tempted to just curl up with a book and read until I have to go to sleep. During the weekends I’m mostly doing chores, groceries and other stuff so even then I’ll be reading in the evening.
How long do you typically read in one setting?
That all depends on the book, the genre and the writing! Some books just make me want to take a break and mull things over in my head while others beg me to keep reading. Fluffy romances can make me read for hours on end while other books tend to make me take a break after about an hour.
Do you read hardbacks with the dust jacket on or off?
Off. Always off. I’m afraid I’m going to rip it or damage it in any way if I keep it on so getting it off and putting it safely in my nightstand is the first thing I do, haha.
What position do you mainly use to read?
5 and 10! I think I’d hurt myself trying out 9…
Do you take the book you are currently reading with you everywhere?
It depends on where I have to go! Sometimes I have to go to Brussels for work and then I make sure to pick a thin book to take with me. Since I have a laptop, food and drinks to carry around, light and thin books are best, haha.
Otherwise, yup, I pretty much always have a book on me. And if there isn’t one in my bag? You can be pretty sure I’m in the middle of an eBook on my phone.
How often do you update your Goodreads progress on the book you’re currently reading?
Normally I do it once a day, but sometimes I just feel like sharing a certain thing and I go and update it at that exact moment to freak out on Goodreads. After that I put my phone away, happy that I got it off my chest and just continue reading.

Lately I’ve been getting more and more hardcovers on my shelves, haha. Guess my FairyLoot-subscription’s the biggest cause of that though. :p
