Hi Munchworms!
It’s time for another tag, since Alex [Coffeeloving Bookoholic] simply loves teasing me – I’m not calling it teasing anymore! – by tagging me for everything. Anyway! This time, I’ll be indulging myself in The End of The Year Book Tag, as the year’s end is creeping by anyway…
Alex, why did you even tag me for this in September? The end of the year wasn’t even close-by back then! And on my birthday no less?!
1. Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
Ha, and this is why we have Remember November! Yes, I do! And I want them all off that “Currently Reading”-shelf, ASAP!
2. Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?
I really don’t.. I just pick up whatever I feel like. Although I tend to pick up more romance and chicklit when it’s getting chilly out. Nothing better than losing yourself in a predictable but cozy romance with some hot chocolate!
3. Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?
Like, the sequel to Warcross? And the sequel to Caraval, Legendary! And, the sequel to Daughter of the Pirate King? All those! And more… So much more…
4. What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
My god, don’t make me pick! I wanted to demolish my whole owned TBR-shelf on Goodreads before the end of the year and I’m failing miserably at that so.. You know what? If you’re reading this, check out my shelf and tell me what book I have to read before the year’s over! Maybe I’ll make it a separate reading challenge, haha.
5. Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?
I have no clue, honestly. I always try to start a book with as little expectations as possible since a hype can be quick to catch up to you and disappoint you. I know there’s a ton of books on my TBR people are raving about, so maybe one of those? I don’t know, really…
6. Have you already started making reading plans for 2018?
HELL YES I HAVE. I’m setting up my own personal reading goals, which I will share near the end of the year. I’m also maybe going to join the Popsugar Reading Challenge again! I’m still thinking about it since I don’t like some of the prompts..
If you feel like doing this tag, please do! I’m not tagging anyone since tags have been flying all over the place in my feed lately, haha. If you do this one, do ping back to me so I can check out your answers!
There are so many books on your TBR that I absolutely loved, but after narrowing it down, I’d say you should definitely read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell before the end of the year. I don’t think it’s quite as amazing as Eleanor and Park, but it’s still up there on my list of faves.

You’re not the first to say that, at all, haha! I might just start December off with that one – if I can finish the Daughter of Smoke & Bone-trilogy on time. 😀

For me when the weather starts to cool down a bit, I tend to like diving into longer fantasy books. I figure that more time curled up under the blankets at home means more time I can spend lost in a fictional world.

I get that as well! I’ve been noticing I’m having a bit of that myself these last couple of days. I’ve mainly been reading fantasy while I usually switch between the two.

Yuup; thought it’d be better to have it a bit more near the actual end of the year.. [This is honestly just an excuse I use because I keep postponing on those tags and awards all. the. time. :’D]
Thank you, haha!

Hi, Kathy 🙂 i am exactly like you – when Fall season rolls around, I tend to pick romance/Chick Lit books more than usual. Chilly air seems to put me in an autumnal mood 🙂

Hi!
Yup. It’s as if the cold weather makes me want to read books that make me warm and fuzzy inside, haha. 🙂
