Review: Always Red by Isabelle Ronin (#2)

Hi Munchworms!

Always Red (Red, #2)A while back, I reviewed the first book of this duology, Chasing Red. So when I saw the sequel pop up on NetGalley, I couldn’t not request it!

Ever since I read Chasing Red, I really wanted to find out what was going to happen with Red and Caleb. Who am I to say no to the opportunity of discovering exactly that?

THE RIVETING CONCLUSION TO RED AND CALEB’S EPIC STORY
Veronica “Red” Strafford’s painful past has made trusting Caleb Lockhart difficult. But Red might have pushed Caleb away one too many times…

I want you to fight for me. Just as I fought for you. But you wouldn’t.
I stood there, staring after him, tears pouring down my face.

The writing is still as fluent as it was in the first installment. I got sucked in and wanted to keep reading. There were new developments all the time that simply made you curious what was going to happen next. Not to mention the very descriptive and hot scenes, my my!

Loving a person was never easy. I knew that from the start. Caleb had shown me that loving the right person was worth the pain.

Bonus! The MC, Red, loves lasagna – so do I, but I love spaghetti more – and her birthday’s September 15, as is mine! This simply had to be added to my review, sorry not sorry.

I caught myself grinning agian. Like a creep. I couldn’t help it, I realized as I grabbed a pillow and smashed it against my face.

I love this novel as I loved the first one. With the one big difference that I started to dislike Caleb. I simply kept hoping they would break up and find someone else. Why? Let’s just say that I have a thing against anything human that has too much of an aggressive side. His popped up two times in a way that I simply couldn’t accept..

I still very much enjoyed it, but that ruined it a bit for me so I’m going with…

3 / 5!

I obtained this novel through NetGalley. All opinions are entirely my own. I’m not being compensated for this in any way.
