TGIF: Questions!

Hi Munchworms!

It’s Friday again and in this case… Only one more week to go and I’ll be in France at this exact moment! You have no idea how much I’m looking forward to this since I haven’t been on an actual vacation for years now!

Since I’ll automatically take a little break from the book blogging-world – no, actually I won’t be because I have some posts scheduled, haha – I’ll have some time to think about possible changes I can make to my blog.

Some of those I’d like your input on, since you’re the readers and yes, you do have your own voices!

Number one

As you know, I have my fixed Waiting on Wednesday-meme, but lately I’ve been considering adding WWW Wednesday as well. Why?
Well, first off it’s a way for you guys to know what I’m reading at that exact time since I often read books of which the review will only appear weeks later.
Second, it seems like a good way to motivate myself to read since I’ll be damned to post the same book as my “currently reading” twice, haha.

Apart from that, there’s also Top 5 Wednesday which has fun topics as well every week. So that one also appeared on my radar not that long ago.

The thing is that I don’t know whether to switch from one meme to another, or do two. Or even three?
Do I make separate posts for each one? Or do I throw them in one post?
Honestly, I have no clue and I’ve been racking my brain about this for quite some time.
Which Wednesday memes do you like to read most?
Your opinions matter, so shoot!

Number two

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor bookish christmas cardsAs you guys know, my birthday is coming up and it got me thinking…
No, I’m not going to ask for gifts or birthday cards or whatever!
But it did got me thinking about cards. Christmas cards!

So how would you guys feel to send each other some Christmas cards? Wouldn’t it be fun to have a little stack of cards you got from bookish friends?
I know it wouldn’t be that easy to organize since we’re all over the world, but it’s worth a try?

Again, tell me what you think!

Number three

I have this fun post in my draft which I’m editing all the freaking time.
What post?
My Books & Munches Reading Challenge 2018, that’s what!
I’ve been adding, erasing and adding to it like a crazy person and I’d love some more ideas.
I have added different topics already and you’d be able to re-use books for multiple topics, but I just want it to look fun and enticing and original so… Yeah, I want some more ideas, haha.
And if anyone would be willing to make an awesome banner for this, that would be amazing as well since I suck at those…

If you have any, let me know!

That’s it for today! So now it’s up to you guys.
Tell me what you think on all or one or two of these subjects and help a girl out!

Oh, and don’t forget to sign up for Sequel September if you have some sequels you’d like to get off those TBR-shelves!

  1. 1. I like reading the top five memes from a lot of bloggers, they are usually very fun. I’m not sure you should post so many times in one day it might be a bit overwhelming but maybe that’s just me..
    2. I would love to get card from my new bookish friends, it would be awesome…
    3. I can’t think of something right now but I’ll be sure to let you know if i get inspired…doing original challenges and tags it’s really hard work… I tried with one tag a while ago (A Court Of Wings and Ruin inspired one) and I’m not sure that it came out quite like I wanted to…Live and learn right?

  2. I also do a WWW Wednesday but only once (or twice max) a month. Why not rotate your ideas for wednesday posts?
Nice idea for the Christmas cards although books would be cooler ;-).. I do post-crossing (I even mentioned it in one of my tags) and it’s cool to get postcards from everywhere!
I like seeing the challenge you’re going to do but I’m not participating in any challenges myself except the Goodreads challenge.

    1. It’s an option!
I never thought I’d be fighting with myself so often when I got the idea of starting a blog, haha!

I know, books would be cooler! But I can imagine people not really being up for the shipping costs that go along with that, haha. And I don’t want to do it “Europe-based” since I get annoyed often enough as it is when something’s “US-based”. :p

Maybe you’ll change your mind! 😀 Now that’ll be my challenge. Haha!

  3. 1) I think three posts on the same day (Wednesday in this case) can be a bit overwhelming for both you and your readers. However, I think I have a solution. I don’t do WWW Wednesday but I love the idea of sharing what you are reading weekly. Instead, I do Sunday post meme which is pretty much the same thing, just on Sunday. Sunday post does feature some other things but all of these are totally optional and you can have your own twist to it if you want. If you decide to do Sunday post instead of WWW Wednesday, you would have only T5W and Waiting on Wednesday to choose from. Now, you can do both of these because two posts isn’t as overwhelming as three but maybe you can switch between each week. There might be weeks when you don’t like the topic for T5W and sometimes you have nothing for Waiting on Wednesday. I don’t know if this is helpful, you definitely don’t have to do it this way, but I wanted to share the ideas and hopefully help you decide.

    2) Christmas cards from bookish friends is an amazing idea and I would totaly be up for that!

    3) I’m not very original when it comes to coming up with bookish challenges so I can’t help you out here but I’m definitely willing to participate once you have everything settled.

    1. 1. In some way this does feel like a good solution, except that I like to schedule my posts a couple of days in advance and if I’d do a meme on f.e. Sunday, I wouldn’t be able to since I read quite a lot during the weekend and will never know up front what I’ll have finished, haha.
It’s definitely a good idea, though! I might think of another day to post this wrap-up meme on!

      2. Yay! Glad I got you interested!

      3. That’s good to know! I’ll torture my brain some more in the upcoming weeks. I have plenty of time left – even though 2018 is coming nearer and nearer pretty fast lately..

  4. oooooh, i have so many things to say! 😀

1.) why don’t you do more posts on wednesday? i also thought about which one i should do, but i love the www wednesday because of the reasons you said. it’s like the current status. so mostly, i schedule my top5 for lunchtime and www wednesday is going out in the evening, so there is enough space in between. or you could also switch it up. do that one week, then the other one the next week? what i want to say: do what makes you happy and i think i can speak for all that we are happy about every post from you! 🙂

2.) christmas cards from all over the world? hell yes! count me in on that. i love postcards! do you know about postcrossing? such a fun thing! but here it would be from bookish friends! yes!!!

3.) why don’t you make a game out of it, something like the readingquest which is going on around right now? games are always fun! 🙂

    1. Haha!

      1. Now it’s a pretty good idea to spread them along the day! I don’t get why I hadn’t thought of that yet, haha.
      Naw, thanks! That’s sweet! 🙂

      2. Postcrossing? I have no clue what that is!

      3. I was thinking about adding a bingo-card part as well. But maybe I can figure out something more creative / original!

    2. postcrossing is a website, where you can register and then you get a random address from another user from all over the world to send a postcard to. and for every postcard you send, you get one back. it’s a cool way to get postcards from random people all over the world. it’s so much fun! 🙂

let me know, that definitely sounds interesting and like a lot of fun 🙂

    3. Honestly, that seems like fun! There isn’t, by any chance, a bookish postcrossing? Haha!
Okay, I’m going to keep postcrossing in mind. I can probably buy some fun postcards when I’m on road trip and use them for something like that, ha!

      I will!
