Hi Munchworms!
It’s Friday yet again, which means it’s time for some updates!
First, and most important: If you haven’t joined my giveaway yet, go and check it out! It still runs until August 18th so you have plenty of time to join and maybe win a book!
Second we have some reading updates, since I’m doing an overload of challenges / read-a-thons this month.
The Make Me Read It Read-a-thon is happening right now, so I’m not reading any ARC’s for ARC August this week. I do, however, made brilliant progress on the books that got most votes on my poll!
The books I’ve read so far:
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
Currently reading:
The Night Circus
I was supposed to finish it yesterday but people kept distracting me..
I won’t be as active this weekend as I normally am – sorry if you’ll be missing out on my way too long and rambling comments, haha! – since I’ll be at a festival.
Honestly, I feel like being at home and reading, but hey. I’ll have fun anyway! And yes, I’m taking books with me – what did you expect?
This however, also means that my wrap-up for the Make Me Read It Read-a-thon will appear a little late. Trying to get it out by Monday evening!
Aaaaand, that’s it!
What have you been up to this week?
Are you participating in the Make Me Read It Read-a-thon?
Have any fun plans for the weekend?
Kathy
Hope you’re enjoying The Night Circus! It’s been on my TBR FOREVER now! Hopefully I’ll pick it up one day XD

I tabbed all the pages with the interactive circus parts to go back and read back to back. I loved the atmosphere of it!

Have fun at the festival! This weekend my boyfriend and I are having a group of friends over to play Dungeons & Dragons. And don’t feel bad about not getting your Make Me Read It Readathon Wrap Up posted the second the week is over. I’m currently debating on my blogging schedule and whether I should keep the wrap up post on Wednesday or if I should bump my next book tag post to Wednesday and have my wrap up on Monday.

Oh nice! My boyfriend does one of those – but dragon age – once a month with some friends of his haha.
It’ll be Monday or.. I have no clue how my schedule looks for next week 😂 I’ll see when I get home again 😅

Oooh, nice. Dragon Age is pretty cool. We do both D&D and Pathfinder. The session we had last week honestly lasted for 14 hours. It was pretty fantastic.

Oh lord. I’m glad the sessions of my boyfriend don’t last that long, haha. Most of the time it’s about six hours.

Most of ours end up being 6-8 hours.

A festival sounds great! What sort is it? Which books are you taking with you?

Metal Festival, haha! Alcatraz in Belgium – if you feel like looking it up.
Apparently I have to take The Night Circus since someone *glares at boyfriend* couldn’t leave me alone yesterday.
Apart from that, taking The Raven Boys with me!

Ah the Raven Boys are a great read, though I found I had to focus a lot more than with other books. I am more of a Punk Rock and Pop Punk fan, but I hope you have fun!

Trust me, I like my rock better as well. But the boyfriend is a full on metalhead. Sacrifices have to be made sometimes, haha!

More like: I’m easily surviving three days of metal if that means he’s not going to complain once when we’re on road trip and I’ll be browsing every possible bookstore I see, haha!

Sounds like a fair deal to me but only if he carries some of the books too! Ha ha!

Oh he most definitely will. Otherwise I won’t have my hands free to pick up more, won’t I?! Haha!
