Hi Munchworms!

I was honestly just thinking of blog post ideas when I saw this popping up, haha.

Okay, and where does it say that I have to answer the questions Siobhan has asked me? Nowhere? Oh, so I don’t have to answer those? Brilliant!

Three things you really [don’t?] want to know about me

I honestly have no clue what to tell you guys, since I just… assume you would ask me if you want to know something? Really, I don’t bite!
Okay, seriously. A little while back I saw a blog post about people never believing who’s behind that awesome blog. I cannot for the life of me find that blog post, so if someone has seen it.. Shout!

Okay, number one. I have piercings. And tattoos. Yes, those regular ones in my ears, but I have two extra piercings in my left ear and I want to add to them. Someday when I figure out how not to get my hair stuck in them.
As for my tattoos? I currently have five. “Always” – yes, it’s a cliche by now, but it’s like.. my whole childhood in one word. – is on my right wrist. Then you have my life motto, a sentence out of a song of Papa Roach – all time favorite band, people! – “I’d rather die on my feet than live my life on my knees.” I have two birds near my collar bones, a little pineapple near my left ear and a ginormous Nightmare before Christmas-tattoo on my right shoulder blade. That one was so freakishly impulsive. Like.. On a holiday to London for a week-impulsive.

Didn’t that count for like ten things about me already?

Anyway. Number two: I’m addicted to all things pasta. I wouldn’t be bothered at all if I had to eat spaghetti for the rest of my life. Just bring it.

Number three: I really want to move to London one day, but who knows if that will ever actually happen…

Siobhan’s questions

Seriously, the rules didn’t say anything about answering these?! Haha.

Who is your guilty pleasure author / series? Do you love to hate it or hate to love it?
Oh boy.. Now I really have to think because I don’t really do the “guilty”-thing. I rarely feel guilty for loving or hating something. Everyone has his/her own opinion, right? But one of the series people would look at as “guilty pleasure” is probably Twilight. I’d like to reread them someday, but I’m afraid Bella is going to annoy me now that I’m [a little bit – cough] older.

What is the latest book you’ve read that you’ve absolutely hated/loved?
Easypeasy. The Inevitable Collision of Birdie & Bash by Candace Ganger of which you can find my review here and read just why I loved it.

What bothers you in your favorite genre (e.g., love triangles in YA)?
Uh. I know that a lot of people have trouble with some of the cliches that keep coming back, but I honestly don’t. I’ve left this question for last to think about it – even slept on it – but I seriously cannot think of one thing…

White Cat (Curse Workers, #1)What is the most underrated book/series/author?
Siobhan, you hate me? Don’t you? Why would you do this to me?! And not just this question, to be clear. All of them! Except the second; that one was doable, haha.
After doing some legit research on my Goodreads-page, I decided on White Cat By Holly Black. I have yet to read the sequels, but I remember enjoying this book enormously and it’s been a long time since reading it. So that has to count for something.

If you could pick a book you wanted to change, chich book is it, and how would you change it?
Since I said something about Twilight earlier, I cannot help but use it for this question as well because I would simply LOVE to erase the sparkly part of vampires. It’s too ridiculous and totally degrading. Vampires are not supposed to sparkle, people.

My best / favorite post

Oh boy. I’ve only been blogging for five weeks and you’re doing this to me already… I guess if I really have to pick one, it would be my review on It starts with L by Cassandra Fear. Why? Because it’s the first ARC I read that I wrote a review for and I was so proud of it too, haha.

My nominees!

Sorry if you’ve recently been tagged for this or just aren’t that into tags/awards, haha!

Vrinda @ A Bookish Human
Sandra @ Lady Grey Reads
Lauren @ Lauren’s Page Turners
Misty @ mistysbookspace
Naty @ Naty’s Bookshelf
Inge @ The Belgian Reviewer
Sanne @ The Dutch Book Reviewer

My questions…

If you were obliged to reread one book every month for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
What bookstore do you definitely want / need to visit one day?
If you have pick one book from your bookshelves to burn or destroy, which book would it be?
How many and what reading challenges are you participating in this year?
How many books are on your TBR – the physical and digital one combined?

Have fun, guys!

  1. Eee! I’m glad you did the award. There’s nothing wrong with an Always tattoo. And AHHH, you have a NBC tattoo. I’m jealous.

Hey now, I’m a journalism grad, so don’t expect easy questions, although I apologize now for making you work. 😅

    Great questions!

    1. Haha; mineminemine! [Maybe I’ll post a picture of it someday but it’s a hassle to get a decent picture of it on my own. And my BF is the worst at taking pictures..

Oh well, I got my fun out of it with thinking of even worse questions to ask my victims. *laughs like an evil maniac*

      Thank you!

  2. Congrats on the award! And enjoyed your answers too… you know… I’m 30, ok, old…ish… but i don’t actually mind Twilight at all… I don’t know why people hate on it so much? I mean, sure, people always find a little niggle to blow it into epic storms but I just like this series because it’s kind of fun! I’ve read the first book in the series about 5 times (although not for years now) and I’ve seen the movies a million times because they have epic fight scenes… yes, there’s tons of cringe too, but they’re entertainment to me! 😀
I agree with the sparkles though.. I hate glitter in general so I’m agreeing with this, totally!

OK… I love your tattoos… I got one made years ago.. an image which I scribbled into a notebook… it’s meant to incorporate everything I was (am?) then… it’s en eye on my shoulder (back) the pupil has a pentagram in it, over it is written Observer (which means I don’t trust people plus also that I take notice of a lot of things, I like to people watch and analyse) and then there’s an infinity sign (meaning, I’ll always be true to myself) .. hmm… the tattooist was like- what’s this mean? and I said- long story, mate! You’d have to know me to understand it 😀 But I do love the sound of yours and Papa Roach! Man, I loved them big time… I haven’t listened to them in a while but I was a massive fan…

OK.. I’m cutting my blabbering short here.. like.. now! 😀

    1. Pfft, 30 is not old. Or oldish. That’s starting on 40. *stay positive* Haha.
I don’t get it either. But honestly, I don’t get the hating in general. So what if you, or a whole group of you don’t like something. Someone else is still going to like it; let them like it. As if those haters appreciate it when someone is trashtalking something they love.. Not at all. But hey, welcome to humanity. :’)
Those fight scenes are the whole reason I keep watching those movies, haha!
Hate glitter, hate pink. Nothing to do about that. :p

Thank you! Your tattoo sounds awesome though. And the ones that fit you are always the best; others don’t have to get it at all. Besides, it’s more fun if someone sees it and goes all “Yup, that’s you”, haha.
Papa Roach is one of those bands that are ever-changing but still remain the same as well. I completely love that about them. Cannot wait to see them live again, haha. I just have to go every time they come near Belgium. September, whoop!

Haha! Thanks for your blabbering! 😀

  3. I love your life motto, it’s brilliant! At least you don’t have a problem choosing a tattoo… I did a blog post once because I have like 10 quotes that I like and I just don’t know which one.. I still haven’t decided.. at this rate I’ll have it when I turn 60. Who doesn’t want to move to London.. everything seems to be happening there! Pfew I dodged those questions nicely.. burning a book, are you trying to give me nightmares? I have no clue how many physical books I have but I’m kind of afraid to find out ;-). Enough to last me a few years at least 🙂

    1. Haha, thank you! No, I don’t at all. There are so many ideas tumbling around in my mind for tattoos I’d like to get.. It’s a pity they’re so expensive [and even more a pity that I tend to save money for books, not tattoos haha].
True! I was horrified when I heard it’s YALC next weekend. I wanted to go so badly but finances won’t let me – and the boyfriend didn’t agree either, boo – but next year, I’m so going there! Even if I have to take the bus instead of the Eurostar!
Haha, I didn’t want to make the questions too easy. And honestly, I wouldn’t want to answer those questions myself, which made it all the more fun to come up with them, haha!

  4. Congratulations and thank you for the nomination!!

My sister absolutely loves The Nightmare before Christmas, I don’t doubt she’ll get a tattoo of that as well! I myself only have one and for the past years can’t decide on the design for the next tattoo…
